A German-Australian photographer of the late 20th Century. Newton is best known for his portraits in fashion photography. He traveled frequently between Europe and Australia to photograph for multiple Vogue magazines. A big part of his work included nude models. He used his mastered skills to redirect the male gaze toward empowering the women in his photos. Newton's work created a trend, where the fashion industry would follow suit.
