An American photographer, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, in the early 20th Century. Harry Callahan became a self-taught photographer after joining the Chrystler Camera Club, while working at Chrystler. Callahan never stuck to a certain style in photography. Instead, he mastered multiple styles! Considering this, his work depicts an ode to the study of photography. Callahan later taught at the Institution of Design, in Chicago, and the Rhode Island School of Design. 1912-1999.
