20th Century American photographer. Had a passion for environmentalism as well as photography, which heavily influenced his work. All about visualization! Co creator of the "Zone System" that allowed photgraphers to meter exposer and tonal balance. Recieved a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Harvard in 1966.
