American Master of Photography, Art Exhibitionist, and writer. He firmly believed photography was a form of art slongside paint and sculpture. He spent most of his career proving this in various ways- including discovering and promoting other photographers, and forming multiple photography orgnizations to provide resources. 1864-1946
